Background & Text Color Viewer Explained
This web color tool displays 24 bit Hexadecimal colors on screen. Codes are # followed by 3 pairs of hexadecimal digits. The fiirst pair = reds, the second pair = greens, and the last pair = blues. Using Hex values from 0 (#00) to 256 (#FF) in each pair, there are over 16 million different color combinations available. (256 x 256 x 256 = 16,777,216) With so many choices, you can have hours of fun with this simple tool.
W3C Standard Color Names
W3C has listed 16 color names that will validate with an HTML validator.
The color names are: aqua, black, blue, fuchsia, gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, purple, red, silver, teal, white, and yellow.
