Working with Background Images and CSS in Net Objects Fusion

Description:

To tile or not to tile; scrolling or fixed. Background images can appear in several different ways depending on your site style's CSS settings.

I'm going to show you which properties boxes to work with and let you experiment with the different settings to produce your own results.

Tutorial:

  1. Select Tools menu > Options > Current Site. This will bring up your Current Site Options Properties Box. Set your site's properties to Dynamic Layout - for all browsers; a page width of 800 and Output to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Hit OK.

  1. Select a background image of your own or GRAB ONE from this site.
  2. Go to Style view and apply the background image to your site.
  3. Select Style on the menu > Edit Text Styles / Manage Styles which will bring up a Site Style Properties box as shown below. On the properties box, Select Body, Edit.

  1. Click on the Background tab. The settings shown below will center and repeat (or tile) your background image down the page (vertically), but not across (horizontally).
C-center-css
  1. Change Image position to Horizontal: Left and Vertical: Top to see a flush left background.
  2. Change Image Attachment to Fixed for a stationary background effect.
  3. Experiment with different settings to achieve desired results. Click OK and Close to commit changes to your site style's CSS. If you are pleased with the layout results, hit CTRL+S to save your site. Then Export as Template.

That's all there is to it. We hope you found this article helpful and informative.
